TikGrab ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Profile & Folder Names: The names you choose for your profiles and folders. This data is stored locally on your device only.
- Saved Video Links & Metadata: URLs, titles, and metadata of videos you save to your library. Stored locally on your device.
- AI Chat Messages: Messages you send to the built-in AI assistant are transmitted to OpenAI for processing.
- Language Preferences: Your selected app language.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Identifier (IDFA): With your consent (via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt), we collect your Advertising Identifier for personalized advertising through Google AdMob.
- Advertising Data: Information about ads shown and ad interactions, collected by Google AdMob.
- Coarse Location: Google AdMob uses your IP address to infer approximate location for ad targeting. No precise location data is collected.
- Product Interaction Data: Anonymous usage data such as screen views, feature usage, and in-app interactions, collected via Firebase Analytics.
- Crash & Performance Data: Anonymous crash logs and performance metrics collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
- Purchase Data: Your subscription status is managed locally via Apple's StoreKit framework and is not linked to any personal identifier.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal contact information.
- We do not collect precise GPS location data.
- We do not collect your photos, camera data, or microphone recordings.
- We do not collect health, financial, or medical data.
- We do not upload your saved videos or library contents to any server.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core functionality of saving and organizing video links in your personal library.
- To display advertisements (for free users) via Google AdMob.
- To provide the AI chat assistant feature, which uses OpenAI's API to process your messages.
- To analyze anonymous usage data to improve features and user experience.
- To identify and fix crashes and bugs through crash reporting.
- To manage your subscription status via Apple's StoreKit.
3. Data Storage & Security
All personal library data — including profile names, folder structures, saved videos, notes, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not operate servers that store your personal library or video content.
Your subscription status is managed securely through Apple's StoreKit framework and Apple's servers.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data processed by the app.
4. Third-Party Services
TikGrab uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google) — Anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting. Firebase Privacy

- OpenAI API — Processes messages sent to the built-in AI chat assistant. OpenAI Privacy
- Apple StoreKit — In-app purchase and subscription management.
5. Advertising & Tracking
TikGrab displays ads to free users through Google AdMob. We request your consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before enabling personalized ads.
If you opt out of tracking, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized to your interests.
Premium subscribers do not see any advertisements.
6. AI Chat Assistant
The built-in AI chat assistant is an optional feature. Messages you send through the chat interface are transmitted to OpenAI's servers for processing. OpenAI's usage of this data is governed by their own privacy policy.
We recommend not sharing personal, sensitive, or confidential information through the AI chat feature.
7. Children's Privacy
TikGrab is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data: All your library data is stored locally on your device. You can view it within the app.
- Delete your data: You can delete individual videos, folders, or profiles within the app, or uninstall the app to remove all local data.
- Opt out of tracking: You can disable ad tracking through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Opt out of personalized analytics: You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings to reduce data collection.
9. Data Retention
Local data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Firebase according to Google's data retention policies (typically 14 months). AI chat messages are processed by OpenAI in accordance with their data retention policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
